In Settings → Affiliate you can switch your reward preference to credits: instead of cash, the flat 20% commission on each referred first payment arrives as compute credits (1,000 units = $1), added to your balance immediately with no $25 payout minimum and no refund hold. Recurring commissions stay cash. Approved academic accounts default to credits; you can switch any time.
Yes — a referrer earns first-payment rewards for at most 10 new paying referrals in a rolling 30-day window. The referrals are still recorded and still count toward your stats; only the first-payment reward is withheld once the cap is reached. Commissions on later invoices inside the 12-month window are not affected. Annual subscriptions need no separate first-payout cap: the 12-month window already bounds each referral to 20% of the year's collected cash.
