Terms of use

Last updated July 31, 2026

In plain languageYou own your data and the candidates Matflow generates for you. Don't abuse the platform, don't rely on any single prediction as ground truth, and stay within your tier's quota.
Draft, not final. This page has not been reviewed by counsel and should not be treated as a binding legal document until it has.

Accounts

You're responsible for the accuracy of the account information you provide and for keeping your password confidential. New accounts require administrator approval before they can run jobs. Institutional affiliation may unlock a higher-tier quota.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Upload data you don't have the right to upload, including data containing personal information about people other than yourself without a lawful basis.
  • Attempt to access another user's account, data, or running jobs.
  • Use automated tooling to exceed your tier's rate limits or circumvent quota enforcement.
  • Use the AI assistant to attempt prompt injection, jailbreaking, or extraction of other users' data or system prompts.

Ownership of your data & results

You retain ownership of everything you upload and everything Matflow generates for you — synthetic datasets, trained models, predictions, optimization candidates, and reports. We claim no license over your data beyond what's needed to operate the platform (storing it, running the computations you request, and displaying the results back to you).

No guarantee of accuracy

Matflow is a research and decision-support tool. Predictions, optimization candidates and synthetic data are statistical estimates, not certainties — every result page states its own uncertainty where one is computable (prediction intervals, extrapolation flags, quality scores). Experimental validation in the lab remains the final word, not this platform's output. We are not liable for decisions made solely on the basis of a Matflow prediction without independent verification.

Quotas & fair use

Each account tier has a stated limit on jobs per hour, maximum file size, maximum row count and concurrent jobs (visible in Settings and on the Runs page). These exist to keep the platform responsive for everyone; repeatedly exceeding them may result in a temporary rate limit or, for deliberate abuse, account suspension.

Suspension & termination

We may suspend an account that violates acceptable use, with notice where practical. You may delete your own account at any time from Settings → Data & account; see the Privacy policy for what happens to your data after deletion.

Changes to these terms

We'll note material changes on the Changelog and, where practical, notify active users in-app before a change takes effect.
